4th of July Fun for the Whole Family

Many fireworks displays have been canceled, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy 4th of July festivities! Here are some fun activities that you can do from home or while practicing social distancing.

Flag windsocks

Supplies:
Clean tin cans with tops and bottoms remove (or any cylindrical material that you have laying around)
Red and white ribbon/streamers
Twine
Blue and white paint
Star stencil
Paint brush
Hot glue gun

Paint the cans blue then paint white stars using the stencil. Place small dabs of hot glue inside the can near the top and attach the twine to hang. Cut pieces of ribbon and attach to the inside of can with hot glue.

yogurt swirl pops

It's expected to be in the 90s on Saturday! These homemade yogurt pops are easy to make and will keep you cool.

Ingredients:
1 cup greek yogurt
1/2 cup mascarpone
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup honey (or 1/4 cup sugar)
4 tablespoons of strawberry puree
4 tablespoons of blueberry puree

Instructions:
1. Combine yogurt, mascarpone, honey and milk in a bowl and whisk. 
2. Make strawberry puree by blending 1 cup of strawberries with 1 tablespoon of sugar and water.
3. Make blueberry puree by blending 3/4 cup of blueberries with 1 tablespoon of sugar and water.
4. Freeze
